90-Day Diary

Weeks 7-8 Diary: Testing My Patience

Continuing from weeks 5-6. This was, honestly, the hardest two weeks of the whole 90 days to stay motivated through โ€” not because anything went wrong, but because progress plateaued and I started getting impatient about the one category that still hadn't moved: weight.

Days 43-49

Energy and cravings held steady at their improved levels from the previous weeks โ€” good, but no further improvement either, which made it feel less exciting to log. The scale hadn't moved at all in 7 weeks, and I started getting genuinely annoyed about it.

Days 50-53

Seriously considered stopping the diary here and just writing "energy and cravings improved, weight didn't, make of that what you will." Talked myself out of quitting early mostly because I'd committed to 90 days and didn't want an incomplete data set.

Days 54-56

Tried on a pair of jeans I hadn't worn in a while, mostly out of curiosity rather than expectation. They fit slightly better through the waist โ€” not "different size" better, just "noticeably less tight" better. First physical sign of anything weight-related, seven and a half weeks in.

Why This Stretch Mattered

If I'd stopped at week 7 out of frustration โ€” which I nearly did โ€” I would have missed the first real weight-related signal by about a week. This is exactly the kind of thing that a 14 or 30-day return window doesn't accommodate; the 60-day guarantee gave me enough runway to actually see this through, even though I was tempted to give up before then.

If You're Feeling Impatient at This Stage

Based on my experience, this is a common point to want to quit โ€” energy and appetite changes have already happened and started feeling normal, but the "big" outcome (weight, hormone symptoms) hasn't shown up yet. That gap felt discouraging in the moment but turned out to just be part of the timeline, not a sign it had stopped working.
